Job Title: Consultant to Develop MEAL SOPs

Location: Maiduguri, Borno

Background

• Green Concern for Development (GREENCODE) isa national non-governmental organization registered in Nigeria since 2007 and implementing a range of humanitarian and developmental programs in different parts of Nigeria.
• GREENCODE programs are in the areas of Nutrition, Protection (GBV)/Sexual and Reproductive Health, WASH, Shelter/NFI/CCCM, Food Security/Livelihood, Accountable Governance, Environmental Management, and Peace Building.
• Arising from the Board and Management’s desire to build and improve the functioning of the organization to a national NGO of excellence, the BOT/MGT have agreed to hire the service of a Monitoring , Evaluation, Accountability and Learning(MEAL)expert to strengthen the MEAL function of the organization through development of the MEAL SOPs of the organization.
• The consultants will review past and present OCAT reports, interact with MEAL team to further identify gaps, propose and draft standard operating Procedures(SOPs) for the MEAL unit, recommend and set up software systems, templates etc.

Objectives
The primary objective of the MEAL Consultant is to developGREENCODE’s MEAL policy and provide strategic recommendations for improvement. The key objectives are:

• Conduct a comprehensive audit of the current practices, identifying areas for improvement or revision.
• Develop MEAL manual for the organization
• Ensure that policy comply with NGO best practices.
• Develops reflect the organization’s values and objectives, promoting professional development, and organizational efficiency.
• Support the MEAL team through training and capacity building for MEAL staff and managers.
