Job Title: Mills Maintenance Officer – Mechanical
Location: Apapa, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Purpose of the Job
To lead end to end implementation of planned maintenance, preventive maintenance and remedial & repair works within maintenance department to ensure reliability and availability of all milling machines.
The Job
Mills Maintenance Officer monitor the progress of all types of routine, breakdown and planned maintenance activities of all Mechanical equipment, components and installations.
Provide prompt response to breakdowns and resolve the issues as quickly as possible.
Update all records of maintenance activities for analysis and future reference.
Recommend new installations or modifications to improve plant control performance, replacement of defective, obsolete Mechanical equipment systems and subsystems.
Ensure RCA is carried out on breakdowns exceeding the set threshold and drive closing of developed actions from conducted RCA as well as document RCA records.
Promote and enforce maintenance safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of employees.
Track resource utilization and effectiveness.
Qualifications
B.Sc. / HND in Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge of milling technology will be an added advantage.
The Person Must:
Have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to read and interpret services design.
Problem solving ability, developing creative, innovative and practical technical solutions.
Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Be able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Specifically Excel) and Data Analysis.
Experience:
3 years cognate experience.
